The Inn at Christmas Place

The Inn at Christmas Place is an adorable hotel completely decked out in Christmas 24/7 from head to toe. This hotel did not disappoint and as a result needs to be booked well in advance. The Inn is a trip advisor pick but I found out about it through other family travel bloggers which are in my opinion the best way to find all the fun places and get really honest reviews and of course your trusty travel agent!

Titanic Museum

The Titanic Museum literally looks like the actual Titanic with an iceberg hitting the back of the ship and a water feature in front. As we walked up they were playing “My heart will go on”-I couldn’t believe it. Once you enter you receive a passenger name for each guest and follow them along your tour. Children also receive a more child friendly version. You are also asked if you want an audio necklace to take with you throughout the tour to hear interesting stories along the way.

Great Smoky Mountain Railroad

The highlight our our family trip to Tennessee was actually in North Carolina-crazy right! The Great Smoky Mountain Railroad is a four hour trip in a working steam engine that takes you through the scenic Great Smoky Mountain National Park which runs through North Carolina and Tennessee. I went ahead and checked North Carolina off our fifty nifty family goal as state number 8 for Row-because well we were there for a good day!

Why Would I Book My Trip with a Travel Agent????

I’m a traveler-I wasn’t always one. I use to spend my vacations at home “resting”. It was so much effort and so much money and then something happened….I had a child. It seems almost backwards. I was young and carefree with no obligations and time and I never went anywhere. Fast forward and now I’m looking into the eyes of my child and it’s like it awakened me. Suddenly I wanted her to see and experience everything. I took the plunge and at 5 months old we took her on her first trip. On a plane no less. Yes I was crazy. I realized that I, we could do this.

Apple Picking

There are so many New Englandy things to do in the Fall. We have been so lucky to have the chance to move our family to Massachusetts and settle into a calmer way of life. I have dreamed of Fall and having a chance to share all of those crisp sweater weather activities with our daughter and this was the year! Our first Fall activity back in Massachusetts was apple picking.

An Unlikely Story

An Unlikely Story is a bookstore and Café located in Plainville, Massachusetts. It’s just the cutest little old timey/hip bookstore that gives a straight nod right to the heritage of the location. Originally built to be a Market in the mid 1800’s this building has been several things-a general store, a tea room and a restaurant. The store is owned by the Kinney’s author of the Wimpy Kid Book Series. One look inside and it’s like you’ve stepped back inside
