Disney offers a variety of backstage tours for guests to see just what goes on behind the scenes at Disney. The Keys to the Kingdom Tour gives guests the opportunity to explore the hidden history of the Magic Kingdom park and access the hidden behind the scenes areas too!
The Best Way to Navigate Magic Kingdom
Magic Kingdom is the most Disney place at Disney! It’s where families and friends gather to feel all the magic and spend the bulk of their time when visiting the Disney World resort. I recommend breaking the park up into two days so you have the opportunity to see and experience as much of the park while traveling. Let’s take a look at how the park is laid out.
Main Street Confectionary
Do you have a sweet tooth? Looking to snag some fun snacks while in Magic Kingdom? Main Street Confectionary is located right on Main Street USA and has recently been updated! It’s your one stop goody shop!
The Crystal Palace
Come and enjoy a buffet with Pooh and friends at the Crystal Palace.
Magic Kingdom Treats and Seat Dessert Party
What exactly is a dessert party? Disney dessert parties offer guests the opportunity to grab treats and enjoy a wide variety of nighttime shows at each park in a reserved, less crowded setting. Dessert party offerings differ from park to park and also depending on what time of year you’re visiting. Dessert parties are an additional add on and are not included in the price of day tickets. The parties can be booked through your trusty travel planner-ME. So make sure you ask them about all your dessert party options.
Santa at Disney World
Did you know you can visit Santa at Disney World? That’s right! You can typically see Santa from the beginning of November through December in the parks. You can always catch Santa during the Very Merry Christmas Party parade. He of course makes an appearance at the end!
Instagrammable Walls at Disney World!
Disney is all about making memories and taking pictures! Did you know there are various walls throughout the parks and resorts that are worthy of an instagram moment? Make sure you stop and strike a pose!
Liberty Tree Tavern
Liberty Tree Tavern is a sit down restaurant located in the Liberty Square section of Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World. Liberty Tree is themed as a colonial American tavern and has rooms decked out and named after such American Revolutionaries as Jefferson and Franklin.
Gaston’s Tavern
Gaston’s Tavern is a quick serve eatery that serves snacks and drinks. Gaston’s (for short) is located in the Fantasyland section of Magic Kingdom park of Disney World and is just past the Beast’s Castle.
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas party (MVMCP) is a hard ticket event that happens from the first week in November through Christmas at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom. Hard ticket means this event is separate from a regular park ticket and must be ordered specifically for this event. If you’re lucky enough to visit WDW during this time of year this is an event that’s not to be missed!
