Fantasmic is the spectacular nighttime show at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Fantasmic is a fan favorite that hosts all your favorite Disney characters and many villains too in a water, light and fireworks show all wrapped up into one!

Fantasmic is located in Hollywood Studios in the Hollywood Hills Amphitheater located by Tower of Terror and the Beauty and the Beast show. The theater has plenty of bleacher style seating. People start to line up around 90 minutes before the show and the best seating is definitely in the Mickey section. However, you can easily see the show from all areas. If you do sit in the front rows you may want to bring a poncho because you are likely to get sprayed by the water from the show.

There is a refreshment stand at the top of the bleachers and also cast members come through the bleachers and sell popcorn and drinks as well so you can have snacks while you’re waiting since you’ll be able to enter the theater about an hour before the performance.

The show does hosts Mickey defeating villains and a large dragon with pyrotechnics so keep that in mind if you have little ones who might get nervous. The show originated in Disneyland and the show in Disney World is similar with some differences. You will see our hero Mickey battle it out with water features…

The show culminates with Mickey as Steamboat Willie!

Fantasmic dinner packages are also available. By purchasing a Fantasmic dinner package you get preferred and reserved seating in a specific section of the amphitheater. Restaurants that offer the Fantasmic dinner package are 50’s Prime Time, Hollywood and Vine, Mamma Melrose, Sci-Fi Dine In and Hollywood Brown Derby. You must specifically sign up for the Fantasmic dining package and NOT regular dining so make sure you let your travel agent (ME) know that’s the dining reservation you’d like to add to your vacation package. After your dinner you receive tickets and once you arrive at Fantasmic-you can arrive 30 minutes before the show, look for the Fantasmic dinner show check in signs, show the cast member your tickets and be seated.

Fantasmic is eligible to be used with Genie+ as a Lightening Lane option and this option gets you in a preferred seating area. Guests who are in wheelchairs or scooters may stay in them during the performance and will be seated in designated seating. Fantasmic typically has 2 showings nightly but check your My Disney App for up to date times since times will vary.
