The Crockett Hotel

Can you guess who the Crockett is named for? You know it-Davy Crockett and you can’t miss the hotel because they literally have a ginormous neon sign because you know everything is bigger in Texas. It certainly makes finding your way home easy. Crockett is independently owned-in the great spirit of Texas. Crockett was originally a meeting place and lodge for the three link fraternity in 1909.

The Alamo was established in 1718 as Mission San Antonio de Valero. The Alamo is best known as the site of the 1836 Battle of the Alamo in which Texas sought to gain it’s independence from Mexico led by Santa Anna. The Alamo is also a historical landmark and definitely on any history buffs bucket list!
