The downtown area is scenic and quaint and loaded up with adorable and cutesy one of a kind stores. Parking is rough but there’s also a town square area where you can park and walk a tiny ways down to all the action.
Country Boy Mine
The mine is located in literally a mine. The surrounding area driving up is full of old mining areas and gravel and is pretty cool to look at. The mine has a decorative mine building and a spiraling path up to the main mine area. Some people uhem loved it so much they didn’t want to leave at the end-not naming names-threenager.
Tiny Town & Railroad
Our Fifty Nifty fun in the USA continues with a trip to Tiny Town in Morrison, Colorado. Tiny Town was actually en route back from Breckenridge to Denver for our flight home so I scheduled an hour to visit this cute little place to give my own tiny one some time to run off some energy before the flight home.
Casa Bonita Restaurant
Casa Bonita is a family friendly restaurant that offers a Tex Mex menu with kids favorites as well. The outside is beautiful but the inside is crazy! It’s basically a Mexican village complete with twists and turns and lights! There is literally something around every corner and you could easily spend several hours here. We literally had one hour to spare but I was bound and determined to get it in and check it off my Colorado list.
Anaheim Majestic Garden Hotel
Anaheim Majestic is an adorable Bavarian themed hotel just down the street from Disneyland. In fact, they are a good neighbor hotel to Disneyland and offer a variety of services for families planning on visiting the parks including a super comfy shuttle bus that runs often and advance tickets sold by Disney in their lobby. You can also get transfers to Universal for a fee.
Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort
Our family is a Disney family. We love going, playing and staying. We have been trying to change things up a bit and do something different each time we visit-which honestly isn’t that difficult. Our last stay was at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort. Caribbean Beach Resort (CBR) is nothing short of magical. Disney does it again by creating a truly Caribbean feel through their magical imagineering. We hopped on board the magical express and were whisked away to CBR. Upon arrival we immediately began to feel that Caribbean feel. The resort is painted in bright colors, plays island music and is surrounded by beaches, a bay area and fun pools.
Rodeo Houston Family Fun
It’s that time of year…you know when you’re driving down the road and traffic’s just a going slow because there’s a Chuck Wagon full of actual chuck wagons being pulled by horses, led by Cowfolk, and the bluebonnets pop up and the boots come out. It’s a Texas tradition time and Rodeo Houston is just that! We literally go to Rodeo every year-yes Houston has that world famous, most amazing rodeo and it’s not just for those late concert going people who two step. It’s for the littles too.
Ruby Falls/Rock City/Incline Railway Tennessee
Ruby Falls is an amazing underground waterfall. Upon arrival make sure you have shoes that don’t slip due to the underground water the walkways can become slippery. You should also bring a sweatshirt or jacket since it can be a little chilly. If you have an infant you should definitely baby wear but the tour is doable.
Chattanooga Choo Choo Historic Hotel
The Choo Choo hotel is located about thirty minutes from Ruby Falls. The Choo Choo Hotel was converted from an actual train station in the 70’s and was at risk of being lost forever. One look at the outside and you can see the bustling lost train station.
The Inn at Christmas Place
The Inn at Christmas Place is an adorable hotel completely decked out in Christmas 24/7 from head to toe. This hotel did not disappoint and as a result needs to be booked well in advance. The Inn is a trip advisor pick but I found out about it through other family travel bloggers which are in my opinion the best way to find all the fun places and get really honest reviews and of course your trusty travel agent!
