Gideon’s Bakehouse is one of the most popular destinations at Disney Springs and it’s easy to see why! Gideon’s is located in The Landing section of Springs and is a close walk from the Disney Resort bus drop off area. You can also easily locate directions using your My Disney Experience App.
Gideon’s Bakehouse has a variety of baked goods from cookies to cakes but that’s not the only reason people like to stop by. Gideon’s is ghoulishly decorated in an adorable spooky kind of way. You’ll most likely find a line no matter what time you arrive. The line does move quickly so don’t be dismayed. It’s of course much easier to not wait if you go at the beginning of the day or more towards the closing time. Opening time is 10am but the line typically starts forming at 9am. If the line gets too long they will switch to a virtual que which you may join ONLY on site. Simply arrive, chat with the worker and join the virtual line, shop and return when it’s your turn. Weekdays are less crowded so plan accordingly.
Upon your arrival you’ll be offered a menu while you wait. Take note of the specialty cookie and cake for the week. Once it’s your turn you’ll be welcomed into the small store full of curiosities and baked goods. You’ll have a chance to see what cookies and cakes are currently available also.
The treats are best eaten room temperature but can easily be taken on the plane with you as well! No reservations are needed to grab these snacks and there is no mobile order option. First come, first serve.
