Williamsburg,VA

If you’re making a trip to Williamsburg to see all the colonial things make sure you leave some time to pop by Busch Garden theme park in Williamsburg. It’s literally down the street from Colonial Williamsburg and Jamestown.

Busch Gardens park is laid out in different sections themed by different countries. You’ll visit France, Scotland, Germany….. Each section has decorations, rides and foods based upon the country it represents.

Jolly Old England

You can have your travel agent book tickets before arriving to get a discounted rate! I recommend booking before you arrive to expedite getting into the park. The Gardens offers VIP and Preferred parking which I highly recommend. Parking in the general lot starts at $30, preferred is $35 and gets you within the same parking lot as VIP-without an assigned spot and VIP parking is $40 and gets you a reserved, numbered spot in the first couple of lanes. The upgraded parking fee is well worth it and they are located in the same parking lot. You can also leave the park and come back to the lots later in the day.

You can also meet the famous Clydsdale horses! The park has a variety of rides for children of all ages but has a larger number of thrill rides and coasters so suits guests who enjoy those types of rides. There is also a Sesame Street section for the littles with smaller rides, shops and a show with characters.

There are plenty of places to eat in each country with traditional foods from that land and of course your typical picky eater options. You can also find a good variety snacks throughout the park.

Park hours fluctuate throughout the year as do the dates the park and attached water park, Water Country USA are open so make sure you check before planning or of course your travel agent-ME- can do that for you. The Gardens also hosts special events throughout the year including-fall festivals and Christmas lights.
