Disney World, Florida

Looking for something special to add onto your Disney World trip? Disney’s Fireworks Cruises are a unique experience perfect for something special or just because!

I love adding on something unique to a trip at Disney. It’s one of the things I love most about visiting Disney. There’s always something you haven’t done yet.

Fireworks cruises are offered at both Magic Kingdom and EPCOT and leave from several different resort locations. You’re able to have up to 10 guests and snacks and drinks are included. We picked a Magic Kingdom Fireworks cruise. The cruise can be booked 60 days before travel and must be paid in full at the time of booking. Prices start at $499 plus tax and don’t forget a tip for your captain.

Fireworks cruises for the Magic Kingdom depart at The Contemporary Resort, Grand Floridian, Wilderness Lodge and Polynesian Village Resort, simply make sure you select which resort you’d like to depart from at the time of booking. You’ll be asked to arrive at your locations port prior to your cruise. Plan on arriving an hour and 15 minutes before the fireworks show. You’ll receive a call from a cast member the day before your cruise to confirm your party size and details for arrival. Once you arrive at the port check in at the podium.

If anyone in your party has a scooter they will be able to park their scooter prior to board but will need to walk to the boat area.

Once you check in a Cast Member and your captain will come and gather your group and escort them to your boat. Children 12 and under will be given life vests for the cruise. You’ll be seated and get snacks and drinks.

Your captain will give you a full cruise around the lagoon full of Disney trivia.

They’ll float you just outside the Magic Kingdom gates with full view of the castle.

The music from the fireworks show will be played over the boat speakers and then sit back and watch the magic!

This was by far one of my favorite magical extras that Disney offers. I highly recommend it! I would also say bring a sweatshirt even in the summer because the lagoon is windy. Your captain will have towels you can place on your laps, great if you’re wearing shorts. Make sure everyone uses the bathroom at the port before your cruise too.
