Disneyworld, Florida

Did you know Disneyworld offers a Disability Access Pass to guests who have a developmental disability such as autism or similar disorders that might make waiting in line difficult? The Disability Access Pass or DAS for short is a way to assist guests and make waiting in line easier for those who may need it and it’s simple to use too.

How do you know if you or a guest traveling with you qualifies for the DAS Pass? You can register for a live chat with a Cast Member to see if you’re eligible. If you are speaking on behalf of someone, either incapable of doing so for themselves or a child they must be present during the live chat. If you qualify a picture of the person who qualifies for the DAS pass will be taken during the chat. The person whom receives the DAS Pass can have up to 3 people also use their pass during their trip. So make sure you have those names ready during your chat, and linked to your My Disney account under friends and family. If you qualify for the DAS Pass it will be available in your My Disney Account for the length of your ticket OR up to 240 days. If you need it again for another trip you will need to go through the live chat process again.

You can apply for the DAS Pass up to 60 days before your trip but make sure you have a My Disney account registered, your park tickets are linked to your account (if booking with me I’ve already made sure this is done for you!), and have your friends and family that plan on using your DAS Pass with you linked to your account as well.

You’ve qualified for the DAS Pass now what? Once you’ve entered a park you can make your first DAS Pass selection. The DAS Pass does not allow you to skip the line but what it does is whatever the listed wait time is on a ride it issues you a return time for that long so you can wait in the park instead of in the line. If Haunted Mansion has a 30 minute wait time at 10:00 am your return time will be 10:30 am. You can access the DAS Pass on your My Disney account in your phone. Simply open up the app and select the three lines icon. You will notice a DAS Pass tab. This will only show up once your trip date comes and you enter the park, not before. This option will be available for all guests linked to your DAS Pass.

You’ll then be taken to all the rides eligible in the parks and what their wait times are. Let’s look! Keep in mind this is completely separate from Lightning Lanes in your My Disney app.

Notice how the DAS Pass option shows you all the available rides/events at all the parks. This is perfect if you have a hopper pass.

It even includes eligible offerings during special nighttime events for the day.

You will select your ride and receive your return time. This is in addition to rides you may have return times to from Lightning Lane. Once your return time comes the person who holds the DAS Pass must scan in first with either their Magic Band of the Magic Mobile option. Then all other parties can follow. Where do you go once your return time comes? The Lightning Lane area of the ride. Once you scan in with your Magic Band you can select another DAS Pass return time for another ride. You can hold ONE DAS Pass ride selection at a time and you can choose who from your lists rides, you don’t all have to BUT the DAS Pass holder MUST.

Once your DAS Pass becomes live for that ride you don’t have to use it right away. You have it until the end of the park day so return when you like.

DAS Pass is another great way Disney is helping all guests enjoy their parks. Need help planning your trip to Disney?
