Sugar Land, Texas

Fort Bend Children’s Discovery Center is a children’s museum located in Sugar Land, Texas. The Discovery Center is an outreach discovery center of the Houston Children’s Museum. The museum is located in a converted Imperial Sugar factory building which is pretty neat.

The museum has a completely hands on approach to everything and is a kids dream! You start off by checking out interactive stories.

You can build with magnets shapes and puzzles….

There are also craft stations throughout the main walkways to and from each exhibit that you can stop and make things! We made this really cool three dimensional hat. Oh and don’t get me started on their ultra cool ball room!

Our favorite exhibit and the bulk of the museum is called the Kidtropolis and it’s a complete mini city for children. We started at the grocery store.

They also had emergency vehicles!

The Discovery Center is open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and admission is…Adults/Children (Ages 1+): $12.00 per person and Seniors ( Ages 65+): $11.00  per person and they also offer a military discount. The museum is really a great interactive option for younger children!
