The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Orlando is broken down into two distinct sections : Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley. There are several experiences that overlap both worlds and several experiences that make both unique. Let’s look at what makes Diagon Alley unique and highlight what not to miss on your next visit.

Rides-

Harry Potter and The Escape From Gringotts– this 3D ride takes you on an adventure as you escape Gringotts’s but the ride and the ride walkthrough are equally awesome so if you’re unable to ride make sure you get a walkthrough-simply ask a worker for a tour!

Hogwarts’s Express-King’s Cross Station– you’ll take this train ride on your way over to Hogwarts’s-make sure you take the train back and forth for a unique experience both ways.

Food-

Leaky Cauldron-Sit down dining, mobile ordering available and recommended, traditional English fare fashioned after a small pub inn.

Florean Fortescue’s Ice Cream Parlour-this soft includes soft serve and hard packed ice cream flavors including butterbeer.

Eternelle’s Elixir of Refreshment-this quaint little kiosk allows you to pick and mix your own elixir drink.

The Fountain of Fair Fortune-a small kiosk serving adult and regular beverages including butterbeer.

The Hopping Pot-a walk up cart full of fun drinks.

Shopping-

Weasley’s Wizard Wheezes-everything Weasley you can dream of….

Gringotts’s Exchange– Trade your US currency for Gringotts bank notes and spent them in Diagon Alley or save for a souvenir.

Borgin and Burkes-only the truly sinister wizards go here

Globus Mundi-home to yours truly-where your travel agents hang out and where you can find all your travel gear.

Madame Malkin’s Robes for All Occasions-come and get your robes to wear around the Wizarding World.

Magical Menagerie-Toys for the littlest and biggest wizards

What makes Diagon Alley distinct?

1.Diagon Alley has the most shopping of the two Harry Potter worlds because it has a focus on shopping, and as a result it also has more dining!

2. Make sure you grab ice cream while in Diagon Alley since there isn’t any in Hogsmeade.

3. The Gringotts’s currency exchange.

4. The fire breathing dragon-make sure you time it correctly and catch it!

5. Catch Kreacher peeking out at Grimauld place.

6. You can see your friends walk through platform 9 3/4 at Kings Cross Station.

7. Dial “Magic” in the phone booth and see if you can hear anything special.

Each park is unique and not to be missed so make sure you have a park to park ticket since that’s the only way to ride the Hogwarts’s Express and experience the train ride.
