Virgin Voyages is the newest cruise line to hit the high seas. Richard Branson has teamed up with Tom McAlpin and they threw the cruise rule book aside. They have created a new cruising sensation with a focus on relaxing , health, sustainability and living that rock star life. The first thing you’ll notice is this cruise line is adults only. It comes complete with champagne delivery through their Virgin Voyages app, DJed night clubs nights and no buffets. Let’s take a look!
Rooms have a relaxed vibe complete with rainfall showers, a convertible bed/sofa, curtains that automatically open when you enter and each balcony comes with a hammock.
Your room is controlled with a tablet that can let you watch tv and movies, chat with sailor services for housekeeping and set the lighting vibe in your room.
You’ll find DJ’s in various locations on most nights and also a vinyl store in case you’d like to purchase some music while on board.
You can find selfie spots throughout the ship including swings, special lighted hallways, and magical lighted spots throughout the ship.
Want to get a tatt (tattoo) while on board-well you can!
Take a relaxing day at Virgin’s private beach on Bimini Island, Bahamas. You’ll find oversized floaties, cabanas and a nighttime Dj-ed bonfire.
If you enjoy working out and being health conscious you’ll find plenty of work out spots on board, yoga and breathing classes available in the morning and a spa for relaxing.
Throw out those buffets and assigned dining times and instead you find sit down restaurants and a Galley filled with healthy options throughout the day.
You’ll finish your cruise out with Scarlet night so bring your red and no need to be formal (but you can if you want). This isn’t one of those stuffy white glove cruises.
Sailors (that’s you) can access everything throughout the ship with the Virgin Voyages app and your sailor bracelet which also acts as a room key and allows you to get on and off the ship at ports.
It’s definitely a different kind of cruise with so many out of the ordinary activities oh and they’re all about the secrets….rumor has it there’s a secret speakeasy and maybe you’ll get invited to a secret magic show….
