San Antonio, Texas

The Crockett Hotel is a historic hotel located in San Antonio, Texas. Crockett is actually located on the original grounds of The Alamo and is literally around the back of The Alamo Property.

Can you guess who the Crockett is named for? You know it-Davy Crockett and you can’t miss the hotel because they literally have a ginormous neon sign because you know everything is bigger in Texas. It certainly makes finding your way home easy. Crockett is independently owned-in the great spirit of Texas. Crockett was originally a meeting place and lodge for the three link fraternity in 1909.

The rooms are contemporary and squeaky just like any historic hotel should be and you can view The Alamo from many of the rooms.

Parking is available for a fee and there is a small pool just outside the entrance. The location cannot be beat and like I said you can literally walk less than a block to The Alamo, shopping and the main roadway where there is plenty of restaurants and fun things to do. The Riverwalk is also only a couple of blocks away so super easy to get to.

The lobby

The lobby is also pretty cool. You can see many of the room windows!

The big man Crockett himself

The hotel is rumored to be haunted but….you can decide for yourself.
