Hancock Shaker Village is located in Pittsfield, Massachusetts in the historic Berkshires. Hancock Shaker Village is a family friendly adventure that gives visitors the chance to catch a glimpse into the lives of the Shaker community. The village boasts 750 acres, 20 historic buildings and over 22,000 artifacts and is set in the beautiful Berkshires.

The village has plenty of parking. Make sure you bring your walking shoes and water because there is so much to see! Once you park and walk down the hill you’ll catch a glimpse of the historic round barn which is beautiful!

The village is open daily from 11 am -5 pm and you should allow a minimum of an hour to visit but more time would be best! Ticket prices-

Adults $20 ($18 for seniors, AAA members, MTA cardholders, and active and retired US military)
Youth $8 (ages 13-17)
Children (12 and under) are FREE on family visits, courtesy of Berkshire Bank

Once you pop by the ticket stand and buy your tickets you’ll receive your sticker and be on your way for your self guided tour. Make sure you grab a map!

You’ll have a chance to walk through a small artifacts area.

The property is full of an actual working farm,

the historic round barn full of animals,

and historic buildings.

There are also historical talks and demonstrations available throughout the village. The village is beautifully preserved and the buildings are filled with innovative ways of living.

You’ll also find a store full of handmade items, including goods made in the Shaker style. You can also grab a quick bite to eat at Bimi’s CafĂ©.
