Plymouth, Massachusetts

Mayflower II is a full scale reproduction of the ship that brought the pilgrims to America in 1620. We were lucky enough to get to visit the ship during the 400th anniversary of the pilgrims landing.

The Mayflower II is located in Plymouth, Massachusetts. Parking can be found off site. As you’re driving close to your destination make sure you stop and find parking because you won’t find any right by Mayflower II. Parking is just a quick walk down to the water.

A quick walk through historic homes and there she was!

You can purchase your tickets online or at the kiosk once you arrive or through your trusty travel agent. You can find pricing info here. Mayflower II is OPEN DAILY FROM 9:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M. Once you purchase your tickets you’ll walk through a small waiting area and then once it’s your turn you’ll walk up the long ramp onto the boat.

The ship itself is surprisingly small. To think that over 100 people sailed with supplies it’s mid blowing. You get to go down and see where passengers slept. It’s really quite amazing to think of the brave people who sailed this ship for the adventure ahead.

Check out the harbor….

Recreation of the original bell….

The captain’s quarters!

Overall it’s a really cool and surreal experience.

You can also pop on by the park down the way and see Plymouth rock!!! I mean who doesn’t want to see the rock-so cool!
