Disney World, Florida

Boulder Ridge Villas are located off the main Wilderness Lodge Resort at Disney World. Boulder Ridge is a set of deluxe villas which has a separate building and small lobby and is considered part of Disney’s Vacation Club but is also open to the general public to book as available. Boulder Ridge like Wilderness Lodge evokes the feeling of being in the national parks with a railroad feel. Boulder Ridge is a Deluxe Magic Kingdom resort.

If you’re staying at Boulder Ridge you get dropped off at the main building lobby and you can either do your check in online or in person in the lobby.

You’ll then walk through the lobby to the right, past the mercantile store and out the sliding doors. You’ll walk straight on the pathway and onto a wooden bridge walkway to the Boulder Ridge Villa area. You’ll walk into a small lobby.

Boulder Ridge rooms offer a more “at home” feel and give you the option of selecting a room with a kitchenette, full kitchen, washer and dryer, living room area and multiple connected rooms. These rooms are perfect for larger groups or people traveling who prefer all the amenities of home.

It was extremely nice having two living areas in the evening, a washer and dryer and being able to store things or cook things in the kitchen.

Boulder Ridge guest have full access to Wilderness Lodge areas including bus and boat transportation, pools/splashpads, and the main lobby. Boulder Ridge does have it’s own pool area which is smaller and quieter but is open to all guest staying at Wilderness Lodge. It’s actually our favorite pool. They also have cabanas free to use on a first come first serve basis.

Boulder Ridge has laundry facilities on site in case your room doesn’t have one and it’s own workout area on the main floor. Parking is available for a nightly fee. The gift shop is in the main lobby of the Wilderness Lodge called the Mercantile.

Dining includes….Roaring Fork, Whispering Canyon CafĂ©, Storybook character dining with Snow White, the Seven Dwarves and the Evil Queen, Territory Lounge, Geyser Point Bar and Grill and of course room service.

You can also find bike, walking and jogging trails. You can rent bikes and boats at the marina area. You can also find the electrical water parade nightly on the beach area and there is also an arcade in the main building/lobby.

There’s a quaint little mini sitting area inside the Boulder Ridge mini lobby area complete with Walt Disney artifacts and a small fireplace. This is a great area to relax and wait for your ride to the airport.

We loved our stay at Boulder Ridge Villas and I would highly recommend a stay here!
