The Grand Floridian Resort and Spa (Grand) is a Victorian style resort which immerses visitors in a feel of old elegance the moment you step on property. Customer service is over the top at this deluxe resort with it’s own grand piano, grand staircase and over the top lobby.

The lobby boasts a grand piano, grand staircase, glass elevator and if you’re lucky enough to go during Christmas this amazing tree! You can also find someone playing the piano from time to time.

If you’re lucky you’ll catch a performance!

The main building hosts club level and concierge rooms while the outer buildings host standard, lagoon view, garden view, theme park view and DVC rooms. The outer buildings are extremely close to the main lobby and a quick walk away from dining, shopping and transportation.

We got to stay at Big Pine

The rooms are larger than most deluxe rooms with higher ceilings than you standard Disney resort rooms.

The outer buildings also have their own mini lobbies inside.

The grounds of the resort are just absolutely lovely.

The lobby is inlaid with amazing marble Disney characters.

The grand stair case or elevators will take you up to the second floor which is where you will find shopping, the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and the monorail. The monorail will take you to both Magic Kingdom and EPCOT parks and is oh so convenient.

Grand has a main pool, a splash pad, and an additional pool with waterslide.

There is also a lagoon view area with sand and beach chairs but no lagoon swimming.

You can find bus transportation to Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom near the front entrance of the lobby and also these beauties’ that are also used for weddings. The wedding pavilion is also located at Grand Floridian! You can also access the boat to Magic Kingdom by the lagoon in addition to the monorail.

The Grand also hosts the famous life sized Gingerbread House during the Christmas season-typically November-January every year. It’s beyond amazing and is a must see if traveling during this time of year.

Dining options include Gasparilla Grill for quick serve, Grand Floridian Cafe, Victoria and Albert’s,Citrico’s,Narcoossee’s, 1900 Park Fare-character dining with Cinderella, Prince Charming, Lady Tremaine and the ugly stepsisters, and Garden View Tea Room.

Grand is definitely a bucket list resort. The customer service is beyond amazing, the rooms are the largest on Disney property and the proximity to Magic Kingdom are what makes this resort truly a deluxe resort.
