Disney World, Florida

Did you know Disney has a hot air balloon you can ride?! Aerophile -The World Leader in Balloon Flight is located in Disney Springs. I have to admit it’s been on my Disney bucket list for awhile so I was excited to check this one off of my list!

There she is!

Aerophile is easy to find! Once you disembark from your resort bus at Disney Springs, walk to the left, past the Coca Cola Store and you’ll see the hot air balloon all the way at the end of the walkway by the water. Aerophile is a ticketed attraction and is not included in your Disney ticket cost. The cost is $25 for adults (ages 10 and older) and $20 for children (ages 3 to 9) and children 2 and under are complimentary. Tickets are sold on a first come first serve basis and the flight is based on weather. We arrived on a nice sunny day but it was deemed too windy and we decided to walk around Disney Springs, grab some cupcakes and check back before heading back to the park…..but we were lucky and they started running it on our way back to the buses!

EEK! We are up there!

The balloon ascends 400 feet in the air and allows you to have a 360-degree views during a tethered 8-minute balloon ride experience. Hang on tight! You’ll get to stay up for 8 minutes and see everything!

Look at the view…

Strollers, scooters and wheelchairs need to be parked before you ride. Tickets can be purchased at the Aerophile kiosk right before the balloon dock. The balloon was custom built for Disney in France! It’s a great way to be able to ride in a hot air balloon without worrying about free floating since you’re tethered. It was definitely a special moment!
